Funny and amusing, Zombadings 1: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington, shows in Cebu this August 31, 2011 Wednesday at Sm City Cinema Cebu- marking that date as National Zomba Day.
iLuvCebu Team got a chance to interview actors Martin Escudero and Kerbie Zamora, director Jade Castro and writer/producer Raymond Lee during a press conference held at Ipar’s Spanish Restaurant last week before heading to a special advance screening of the movie at SM City Cebu Cinema 2.
There was a big buzz on how Kerbie and Martin came to accept their roles in Zombadings and how they prepared for a staircase romance scene. “Being comfortable with oneself and respect for the art,” replied the 21 year old Martin Escudero. “and get it done properly and correctly para walang retakes,” he added laughing.
Raymond Lee, writer & producer of Zombadings tells us that the story came about when he recalls a 5 year old kid calling him “BAKLA, BAKLA, BAKLA” with such bitterness. The movie also aims not to just amuse and entertain but also to address society’s issue with homophobia.
After the press conference we headed to the advance screening at SM City Cebu Cinema 2. The movie definitely is packed with great funny punchlines and hilarious scenes that would definitely make you laugh during the movie and probably the entire week. 🙂
Martin Escudero by the way did a really great job portraying his role as Remington. His acting is effortlessly convincing. This movie definitely showed his skills and talent in acting, which is superb. Congrats Mart! \m/
