Mactan is home to amazing resorts and beautiful beaches – and a food haven as well. If you want to chill by the sea and sip on your favorite cocktail or maybe grab lunch or dinner, Vue is worth checking out. Vue doesn’t have any air-conditioned area so wear something light and comfy. We love going here on a sunny day for lunch or an afternoon refreshment where you get a picture perfect symphony of emerald green waters, white clouds and blue skies.
Atty. Ethelbert Ouano and I had a late lunch at Vue as we discuss projects for our organization, iLearners Inc. I ordered the Shrimp and Lemon in Olive Oil (Price: 210php). I find the pasta overcooked and the flavor, too tangy. For first time diners, I would recommend Vue’s Ham, Cheddar and Mozarella Monte Kristo (wheat loaf sandwich dipped in egg and milk then fried in butter) and Philly Cheesesteak (Thinly sliced US Angus beef, caramelized onions, mozarella and cheese sauce).
Perfect for a humid afternoon is Dulce de Leche Fritter served ala mode (Price: 120php). Deep fried tortillas with caramel and banana bits on the inside. Soo good!
Thanks for joining us on a quick afternoon grub. If you have tried dining at Vue, please do share your own recommendations by leaving comments. ‘Til our next pig out session. 🙂
