Celebrate Cebuano music as Visayan Pop Songwriting Competition, known as Vispop, stages its much-awaited Finals Night on today at The Centerstage of SM Seaside City Cebu. Gate opens at 6 p.m.
The biggest Visayan music gathering in the Philippines, Vispop has captured the heart of not just Cebuano listeners but also non-Cebuano speaking music fans from all over the country. Witness live performances by Kurt Fick, Jacqueline Chang, Aggressive Audio, David Wilde X Zeejacob, Jewel Villaflores, Lourdes Maglinte and many more. The event will be hosted by Rowell Ucat, a.k.a. Medyo Maldito, and DJ Chixie of MOR 97.1 Lupig Sila.
Now on its 4th year, Vispop is once again set to make waves with its new set of six (6) finalists meticulously chosen from among 360 entries from the country’s Visayan-speaking songwriters. The six finalists of this year’s Vispop are Baklay by Jerika Teodorico, Damgo by John Cadelina and Irving Guazon, Imoha Ra Akong Kasingkasing by Sherwin Fugoso and Marajane Monton, Paghunas by Joseph Gara, Pep-Pep by Kenneth Corvera, and Suwat Ni Maria by Maria Salvaleon.
