Cebuanos love to eat, no doubt about that! And in every city you go in Cebu, there’s a hole-in-the-wall food spot waiting to be explored. A popular place for Talisaynons to have the all time favorite Filipino dessert, we took a 30-minute drive from Cebu City to the city of Talisay to have our first taste of the talked about Victoria’s Halo-halo.
Choose from Regular (30php), Special (45php) , Super (65php) Halo-halo, settle your bill , get your priority number, find a table and then wait for your halo-halo be served by the waitresses. Rice meals are also available with prices ranging from 65php-80php and pica-pica for 20php.
Victoria’s Special Halo-halo comes in a tall halo-halo plastic cup with sugar, buko/coconut strings, jackfruit/nangka strips, mango chunks, banana slices, crushed peanuts, shaved ice, milk topped with ube ice cream, cereal and mallow.
Victoria’s Super Halo-halo is served on a short cup with sugar, buko/coconut strings, jackfruit/nangka strips, mango chunks, banana slices, crushed peanuts, shaved ice, milk topped with 2 scoops of ice cream, leche flan, cereal and wafer stick.
Victoria’s halo-halo is a reminder that simple things are source of pure joy. Together, these simple ingredients become a nostalgic cup, reminding me of of my grandmama serving the afternoon mirienda – the use of fresh fruits, the home made jelly and leche flan. <3
Tempura (20php per serving) , Biano’s Pizza (170php), Sandwichess and rice meals are also available.
