Before the year ends, let me take you back a few months ago and rekindle some of the movies that you might also love and maybe are also on your list of this year’s top 5 blockbuster movies. ^_^

My 5th pick is “Pirates of the Carribean:On Stranger Tides,” the 4th installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean Series. The story is inspired from Tim Powers’ book “Stranger Tides.” Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)  with Angela (Penelope Cruz) is searching for the fountain of youth facing up to the infamous pirate Blackbeard. Under Walt Disney Studios it grossed $1,043,871,802 in worldwide sales, also earning it’s spot as the 8th highest grossing film of all time. (info from as of December 19, 2011).

I am a big fan of comic super heroes, both Marvel and DC, and this year was really awesome! With the release of two movies tied up on my 4th list, I am getting jiggy with the super hero collaboration coming up next year. Tied up on my fourth are heroes from Marvel Comics, Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America.

The First Avenger: Captain America. Though at first I was kind of doubtful that Cris Evans can pull it off as Steve Rogers/Captain America since he was stuck saying “Flame on” as Human Torch in my head but he did a pretty good job as Captain America.

Thor is a god from Asgard who is exiled to Earth. Thor is played by Chris Hemsworth with female lead Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. Loki, Thor’s brother wants the Asgard throne and after finding he was Laufey’s son and was adopted by Thor’s father Odin, he then proved to Odin that he is worthy of the throne by killing his own father, Laufey.

Third on my list is another favorite from Marvel and the story on how Xmen was formed, Xmen First Class. Serves as the prequel to the Xmen trilogy, the story focuses on Charles Xavier(Professor X) and Erik Leshnerr (Magneto) and how their teams, Xmen and Brotherhood of Mutants, were formed.

Second on my list would be Transformers: dark of the Moon. Without the hot Megan Fox, everyone was excited how a sexy angel would do. Rosy Huntington-Whiteley was definitely not a disappointment! And not to mention she looks a lot like our princess Noelle Dotillos. ^_^ Transformers: Dark of the Moon stands high as the second highest grossing film of 2011, earning a worldwide gross of $1,123,196,189 (info from and the 4th highest grossing film of all time!

Rosy Huntington! wait this is's Noelle Dotillos. ^_^

Transformers: Dark of The Moon

And my number 1 Pick would be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. It has been dramatic  for all Harry Potter fans as the series ended 9 years after the first movie has been released. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows grossed $1,328,111,219 (info from updated December 19,2011) earning its number 1 highest grossing film of 2011 and is the 3rd highest grossing film of all time, after Titanic(2nd) and Avatar (1st).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
