22 April 2017, Lapu-lapu City Cebu -Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa and iLuvCebu.com partnered for an Earth Day gathering which aimed to spread awareness on marine conservation through the use of social media. The fourth #iLuvCebuInstameet dubbed as “Love our Seas” gathered fifty (50) local instagrammers to join the talks and activities that would be beneficial to our local marine ecosystem.

Talks and Activities on Marine Conservation
The 6-hour activity started with a series of talks on :Reducing Plastic Waste” and “The Importance of Corals in the Marine Ecosystem” conducted by Miss Scuba International 1st-runner up Ms. Christine Love Paula Bernasor and Shangri-La’s Marine Biologist Ms. Irene Tan. The talk has set the mood for the next part of the marine conservation congregation – the fish house making and the coral grafting activities.
