Browsing on some pictures from our recent trip in Hong Kong made me crave for some Asia’s World City cuisine. Gladly our  photographer friend and fellow foodie James Go recommended the newly opened branch of David’s Tea House here in Cebu. Nestled in a brand-new food haven in Mandaue, City Times Square, David’s Tea House offers a great spread of Hong Kong cuisine.

I am a tea fan and the  complimentary pot of loose leaves house tea served upon ordering and waiting for our orders to be served is very much appreciated. ^_^

Lemon Chicken (240php, serves around 2). Love this dish! The chicken strips aren’t that thick, retains its crunchiness even with the sauce. And that tangy sweet sauce, yum!

Kung Hei fat Choi! It’s the year of mightiest of the Chinese Zodiac – the Dragon! And 2012 falls under the element water making it the year of the Water Dragon. It is said that water calms down the fire, making whatever issue from the past year be resolved, giving way to a smoother life as we sail the new year. Well, with the sumptuous Chinese food we had for lunch today at Tea of Spring, I would definitely agree.’s Reymond, Edd and I together with Shangri-La Mactan‘s Rica Rellon and Jay Dalumpines had the traditional Yee Sang Toss or Prosperity Toss. You ‘d  notice the different  interesting colors of the Yee Sang.  Yee Sang itself symbolizes good luck but each ingredient actually represent and symbolize something – like for Daikon or white raddish symbolizes purity prosperity in business and promotion at work, , the green raddish for eternal youth, carrots for money and blessings of good luck, peanuts for long life of abundance, sesame seeds symbolizes flourishing business, five spice for thrill and excitement and plum sauce for sweetness in life and more luck.
