Cebuanos could instantly recall Matteo as the kid who championed in go karting – even placing Cebu on the map with his skills in this type of racing. After getting a break on TV, Matteo permanently ceased go kart racing and dedicated himself in honing his artistry on one of his passions – acting. This year marks his 10th anniversary in the show industry and is celebrating it with a concert entitled, Matteo Made in Cebu.
Almost a year since his first concert in Manila, Matteo Guidicelli is bringing back his music on the concert stage and paying homage to Cebu through this benefit concert. Kythe Foundation, a non-profit organization aiming to help kids with cancer and chronic illness, will be receiving help from Matteo through the concert ticket sales.
Matteo recently visited Cebu and shared some inside information on the much awaited concert. “Because Cebu is my hometown and everything I do, all my first stuff I always bring it back home to Cebu. So the artists I’ll perform with are all Bisaya,” Matteo shared. “We also have a lot of new songs to cover and we also have a lot of old songs that I’, going to be covering that you’ll be shocked na “uy bakit alam nya ‘yun,” Guidicelli added.
The show will be directed by Mr. Rowell Santiago which promises a unique show. Performing with Matteo are Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan and Concert King Martin Nievera, as well as the G-Force Dancers. Guest performer include Visayan singer Kurt Fick who popularized the song “Hahaha Hasula.”
