Manuel Severino Hofilena Heritage House or Hofilena Museum was the first ancestral home to open its doors to tourists. Owned by Ramon Hofilena, he will charm you on his wits and knowledge about Negros’s history, culture and arts.
The first level of the Hofilena Mansion displays original furnitures from the 19th century, newspapers and magazines, antique vases and jars including a 3,000 year old Israeli juglet and rare collections of the Hofilena family including the world’s smallest doll from Japan! And did you know that the Philippines has been noted to be one of the most abundant sites of an outer space rock called tactites? To know more about tactites, visit the Hofilena Museum! 🙂
The whole second floor of the Hofilena Museum houses Ramon’s collection of paintings by the Philippines’ renowned artists from the 19th century to the present – Luna, Hidalgo, Amorsolo and Manansala to name a few.
The world’s smallest dolls are among the collections of Ramon Hofilena. See the awesome details when you visit the museum.
