Right after the first leg of our iLearners Brighter Future Project 2013 in Caohagan Elementary School, we decided to go snorkeling at a nearby marine sanctuary in Hilutungan.
Hilutungan Marine Sanctuary is a snorkeling heaven, home to well protected corals and fishes.
When snorkeling and diving in Hilutungan Marine Sanctuary, one can hire a boat to reach the sanctuary. A fee of 100php per person (swimming or not) will be collected upon arriving at the sanctuary. Wearing a life jacket is compulsory when snorkeling here. Divers are charged 300php each.
Going under the water, you would notice lots of fishes swimming around. And the trick for them to swim close to you is, bread! 🙂 Just put a slice of bread on a tight grip and as the bread starts to melt in the water, fishes would be swimming around you. 🙂
And the highlight of this snorkeling trip is when we saw this big fish swimming around us. Have you spotted it? it’s at the lower left side of the picture below. 🙂
