It’s awesome to have great friends and family around. We get together as much as we can and each of those meet ups involve some heavy pigging out ( teehee, don’t judge). After taking care of some papers for our organization, iLearners Inc., at the Lapu-lapu City Hall, we were supposed to have lunch at Cebu Burger, which according to Atty. Ethelbert Ouano, has the best Veggie Burger in Cebu. Unfortunately, the restaurant had already shut operations for more than 2 weeks now. Aaaahw! That feeling when you’ve already gotten yourself all excited in anticipation then suddenly you’re hit with the hard news that you won’t get to have a taste of it. To those who have news on where Cebu Burger has transferred, please let us know. Still looking forward to eating that sumptuous burger as described by fellow foodie, Atty. Ethy.
Well, we may have been saddened by the closing of Cebu Burger, but as per the Robinsons, “Keep Moving Forward!” On the brighter side though, Atty. Ethy, Edd, Amy and I discovered this coffee shop, Civet Coffee. We first had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in Maribago Mactan, Gold Mango Grill then went back to Shang Island Town Center to try some coffee offerings at Civet Coffee.
Don’t you just love it when you smell fresh brewed coffee when stepping inside a coffee shop? What’seven more awesome is that they use local beans from our neighboring province, Bohol. B
The charcoal roasted beans are enhanced with a smoky sapor which give them that bold, and earthy flavor.
That #Miming Art on my Hazelnut latte is too cute! What I love about the latte I ordered is its boldness. The creamy and smooth milk added a soft hint to it.
Civet Coffee’s Cafe Mocha, is by far the best cafe mocha I had. The experience starts with a creamy light froth, then a bold earthy kick softened by the chocolate and then ends with a clean smoky zing.
Though we weren’t able to try the house specialty yet, which is Civet Coffee sold at 750php per cup with 30% Civet Coffee, we loved what we tried so far. That made us more giddy in trying the house specialty. Soon soon!
Below, are Civet Coffee Beans. And yes they came out of Civet Cats bottoms. hahaha. 😛
And another interesting thing at Civet Coffee is this slow drip Coffee apparatus. Though I haven’t asked the barista on how the process enhances the flavor of the coffee, it looks really interesting and the scent that oozes out of the apparatus smells absolutely great . ^_^ Surely I’ll be asking the barista when I get to have another cup of coffee at Civet Coffee.
Have you tried any beverages from Civet Coffee? Tell us your thoughts! ^_^
