Awarded the grand title during the recent Taste of Cebu Burger Throwdown organized by the Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC), Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa offers a variety of burgers that will make every fan of the American favorite mirthful.
Burger Ni Nato Bai (This is Our Burger) is inspired by the flavors of native delicacies. Burger beef patty with Pickled papaya, Chicharon or pork crackling, local cheese and crisp banana chips in a guitar shaped bun, lamia bai (taste good bro!) !
Parrot-ific Burger. This is not made of parrot meat, like my brother, Edd, thought. LOL. It’s made of parrotfish topped with tomatoes and onions, served in a sesame bun with wasabi mayonnaise and vegetable crisps.
Lamb Oriental Burger. Ground lamb with feta cheese served in oriental flatbread with Tzatziki sauce and crisp potato sticks.
Teri-Chic Burger. lean spicy chicken patty topped with sautéed shitake mushrooms and bean sprouts served in a seaweed bun with teriyaki sauce and potato wedges.
And for guests who are adventurous and want to try something out of the ordinary, Shangri-La Mactan prepared 2 burgers just for you – The Croc and The Big O.
The Croc Burger. Breaded crocodile meat patty topped with rocket lettuce, tomatoes and onions in a pan de sal bun with spicy tomato salsa and fried sweet potato chips.
The Big O Burgers. Ground ostrich meat served with a slice of grilled pineapple, lettuce, tomatoes and Brie cheese in a classic sesame seed bun, with farmer potatoes.
