I have been going on a “no rice breakfast diet” for a month now and was so eager to try Canvas breakfast spread when I was tipped about their morning meals. Canvas‘ new breakfast menu includes healthier options to start the day right, but just had to have a big morning meal that very day. Seriously, when I’m in a restaurant with Chef Steve Shrimski managing the kitchen, my appetite seems impelled, like a black hole just appeared inside my tummy. haha. Remarkably a great treat every time!
Starting the early meal with a good plate of muesli just made the day extra dandy.Chef’s Toasted Muesli, honey toasted oats, roasted nuts, dried mangoes, cranberries, dates and raisins with yogurt and mango puree served with low fat milk. (Price 175php)
Vegetarian Fritters, 220php. Sweetcorn and zucchini fritters with grilled tomato, spinach, mushrooms and sourdough.
Fluffy flavorful banana pancakes with grilled ham, camembert cheese and scrambled egg . Loved biting into slices of banana as I enjoy the downy pancakes; and mixing the grilled tomatoes, ham, scrambled egg and the camembert cheese together made me forked in the dish ’til the plate was clean. ^_^
Fresh ricotta hotcakes with sauté mushrooms and scrambled eggs, 245php.
Egg omellettes filled with fresh corned beef hash and cheese, 240php.
Another hefty Canvas’ breakfast choice is Beef Medallion with sauté mushrooms, hash brown potato, fried egg, tomato and bacon, 375php. Another personal favorite at Canvas. And a Canvas breakfast wouldn’t be complete without a cup of Canvas Roast Pressed Coffee!
