“Santa Claus is coming to town!” Currently LLSing (last song syndrome-ing) on this particular Christmas song since my drive home from our Cebu Fashion Bloggers Christmas dinner last night. Holiday songs has been on loop on my car’s MP3 deck since December 13, the day I started my 12-day countdown to the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas!
And the holiday embellishments around the metro added to the festive mood, making everyone even more thrilled for Christmas Day! One of the holiday traditions many of us Cebuanos embrace is putting up and decorating a Christmas tree in our homes; where we then set the presents at its foot to be opened on Christmas morning.
But that yuletide tradition is not only limited to our homes. Many hotels, malls and establishments also adopted this tradition. And today, I have listed exquisitely stunning yuletide trees around Metro Cebu in 2015.
1. Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s Tree of Hope
28 November 2015, Marco Polo Hotel Cebu had the traditional tree lighting of the Tree of Hope. The beautiful tree also gives the guests the chance to reach out to the beneficiaries of GMA Kapuso Foundation through pinning of Christmas Balls. Donating PhP200 will allow you to hang a Christmas Ball with your Christmas wish attached to it on the magnificent floor-to-ceiling Christmas Tree.
Also, from December 16-30, enjoy a grand holiday feast as Cafe Marco serves up a festive season spread with yuletide favorites such as Christmas Ham, Prime Beef, Chicken Relleno and more alongside Cafe Marco’s International Buffet selections.

On Christmas Eve, enjoy a Swissmas family feast at The Sails and indulge in a wide assortment of this season’s culinary delights and classic confections. Included on the buffet spread are premium seafood selections including oysters, prawns, mussels, crabs, scallops and steamed grouper.
