Camp Sawi screens in the Philippines today and declares August 24 as National Sawi Day. The new movie from Viva Films stars Andi Eigenmann, Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Kim Molina and Arci Munoz with Sam Milby tells a story of 5 different women struggling to mend their broken hearts who took refuge in a camp where they tried to recoup from their dreadful experiences in love.
Camp Sawi is a diverse compilation of failed love stories and scenarios that many can relate to today. Blended with hugot punchlines and humor, this movie is well stitched and fluid. Warning though, this may bring back heartaches from past relationships, so you might as well bring a hanky. 😉
Camp Sawi was shot mostly in Bantayan Cebu, and Kota Beach was the ideal site for the movie, which is foolproof hideout to relieve stress. Predicting visitors to rise in Kota beach a.k.a. Camp Sawi in the coming weeks. 🙂
Camp Sawi is directed and written by Irene Villamor and is now showing at theaters nationwide starting today.
