Passing by President Roxas Street in Kasambagan, it’s hard to miss these big wooden furniture set at the terrace of the bistro. At first look we thought Anya’s was a furniture shop , that we have to ask the guy sitting in one of the wooden chairs if they serve food. And yes they do serve food – and they too sell wooden furniture set but these on the porch of the bistro serves as the alfresco dining and drinking area.
The bistro’s interior is lovely with printed cloth installed on the walls and some of the base of tables inside the bistro are made with the same wood as the furniture set outside with unique natural patterns which are really exquisite.
The main dining area.
Food at Anya’s are prepared just right after you order so it takes 10-25 minutes to prepare. For todays lunch we had 3 of their best sellers, Humba, Sweet and sour lapu-lapu and ribs.
Anya’s Philippine Pork Humba, 160php. Pork are tender but flavorful – with black pepper and laurel, with a hint of pineapple sweetness.
Sweet and Sour Lapu-lapu, 100php per 100gram. Deep fried Lapu-lapu topped with sweet and sour sauce and vegetables.
Anya’s Ribs, 200php. Tenderized rib brushed with barbecue sauce.
That made me hungry! Wrapping up this blog and eat my dinner. Thanks for reading! ’til our next piggin out session! 😉
