Remember Go Morita? The Japanese Lunch Guy that sold us delicious Japanese quick to-go meals at the street right outside IT Park three years ago? If you were wondering where he is now, well, he has been very busy managing his two-year old Go Go Cafe in AS Fortuna, and it’s anticipated that he’ll be even more busy than a beaver after acquiring a 2-year old Japanese restaurant in Capitol.
Ajito, pronounced as Ah-gee-toh, is a Japanese term that translates to ‘a secret place’ in English. The restaurant used to cater mostly to the Japanese students of the English school situated on the same building. But Mr. Morita desired to welcome Cebuanos and other guests to Ajito after acquiring the diner only this March 2018. So he remodeled the place from a cafeteria to a more cozy and cush dining and bar set-up.
Go Morita hails from Osaka and he wanted to share some of the fun dining practices from his hometown – including unlimited drink offers and make-your-own takoyaki. And yes, Takoyaki originated in Osaka. So Go has a strong eagerness for his customers to experience and learn how to make these delicious octopus-y ball treats. He even made the experience more enticing, where you can play around with other ingredients like chicken or spam & cheese, other than the prime component octopus.
All You Can Eat Takoyaki is for only P300 per person for 90 minutes, minimum of 4 people. You can also do an upgrade and add an unlimited drink from the standard drink menu for an extra P199 per pax. Reservation is required for the DIY, Eat All You Can Takoyaki.
Unlimited drink offers are a steal; priced at only P199 per person for the standard drink menu for 90 minutes for every food purchase. The premium unlimited drink menu at only P399 per person for 90 minutes with every food purchase.
Ajito also offers ramen and other Japanese food like Hirekatsu Teishoku, Teriyaki bowl, Soumen Noodles and a lot more. Board games are also available, free of charge for customers.
