21 March 2016, Apple.com – Apple conducted a special live streaming event to introduce the brand’s new breakthroughs – including the Care Kit App, a more affordable version of the iWatch, an upgrade to iOS, the iPad Pro and the newest addition to the brand’s smartphone line, the iPhone SE.
iPhone SE, dubbed to be the most powerful 4-inch smartphone, has a 64-bit A9 chip and a M9 motion coprocessor. It is equipped with 12MP iSight camera, Focus Pixel, Retina Flash, Live Photo capabilities, takes 63MP Panoramas and 4K videos. And better connectivity – both over data and wifi. LTE connectivity up to 150Mbps (50% faster than iPhone 5S) and can connect to more LTE Bands. With its 802.11ac WiFi capability it can connect up to 433Mbps – 3x Faster than iPhone 5S. Plus, an improved battery life!
Apple will begin receiving orders for the iPhone SE in the US starting March 24, and will be available in 11 countries this coming March 31. The iPhone SE retails starting at $399 (around PhP18,000) for the 16G version.
iPhone SE is set for release in the Philippines by the end of May 2016.
