A Feast of Traditions at Tea of Spring

Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa celebrated the start of the Year of the Fire Monkey with a feast of traditions yesterday, 8th February 2016. The award-winning resort’s Chinese restaurant, Tea of Spring, offered an indulgent selection of Chef Bun Boon Hoe’s specialties, such as Wok-fried Skewered Prawn with baby abalone and Broccoli, Deep-fried Boneless Chicken stuffed with minced Tanguige and almond flakes, among many others.

And the Lunar New Year celebration wouldn’t be complete without the prosperity toss. Tea of Spring Salmon Yee Sang was the perfect dish to bring in luck, love and prosperity for the coming lunar new year.

Guests also witnessed a tradition every Lunar new year;  Eye-dotting Ceremony, followed by the lion and dragon dance, and finishing off with the Yee Sang Toss which took place at the hotel’s main lobby.
