Cebu may rapidly be changing to a super busy metropolis but every Cebuanos still keep the meticulous attitude, not settling for anything less and never allow themselves to be shortchanged. So when talking about food establishments, well let’s just say, its surely survival of the fittest! With so many restaurants taking root just about anywhere, there would always be names that ring who have stand the test of time and loved by fussy Cebuanos. One of these restaurants that is proudly Cebuano is Mooon Cafe. All of Moon Cafe branches are warm, homey and tropical. When seated, who would pass and not notice the orange table napkin set on your table holding your spoon, fork and knife.
Moon’s signature drink the Suncooler is summery and radiant just like the tropical ambiance exuding from the restaurant’s hacienda aura. Orange juice with slices of lemon, calamansi, orange and watermelon is a favorite Cebuano thirst quencher! And did you know that Ayala Malls CUSTOMERS’ TOP PICKS awarded Mooon Cafe’s very own “SUNCOOLER” as the best in the coffee/cocktails category based from shoppers’ online votes? Now you do. 🙂
Mooon Cafe‘s Chimichanga, one of the restaurant’s bestsellers and my dad’s favorite, is made from crispy flour tortilla filled with tender, mild spiced beef, cheese, sour cream and salsa rojo and topped with strips of lettuce, cheese and sour cream. Price: 95php
And my personal favorite at Mooon Cafe is their Six-Stick Pork Barbecue. 6 sticks of pork barbecue marinated in special sauce. Served with atchara and rice. (Price 150php) Tender, juicy and a bit sweet marinated pork barbecue, just the way i like it!
And introducing Mooon Cafe‘s new offering – Chicken Fajita! Marinated chicken that comes with wraps, sour cream and salsa fresca. Serves 3 and is priced at 195php.
Grab a wrap and put a spoonful of chicken strips on the wrap, add some onion, bell pepper ,salsa and sour cream and roll the wrap enclosing the filling inside and eat by hand! 😉
And don’t forget to grab this Mooon Cafe dessert! Yum!
